Does my FL2 Metro have Adaptive Lighting?

Since researching a posting on the Forum which included an additional wire from Fuse 44 for the Adaptive Front Lighting System, I have tried to find out if the HSE Lux (& Metro) specs had this feature.

Initially I read that it was on early HSEs, but I have been unable to find an official source that gives details of this and subsequent specifications.

My TOPIX Build Document includes HID, but no mention of AFS.

I have yet to have a look at the various Brochures on site for some clues.

Does anyone know?

PS I have tried the garage door test but I am not sure if I can see any movement.
FL2 Repair Manual has wiring for HID and HID & AFS and explanations, for both both fits. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 79k+ miles) (MY2015)
Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History
(Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?)

IIRC adaptive headlights are not available on the later vehicles. A reason I decided not to install a pair of 2013 headlights that I bought recently as the trade-off wasn't worth it just for cosmetic reasons. Thumbs Up

My only experience of adaptive headlights was on my E91 BMW. They were a bit a nightmare really.

Every now and then a headlight would refuse to re-centre after a corner - usually pointing at oncoming traffic. I would have to stop and turn the engine off and on and wait for the lights to re-centre.

Also if you went into a series of fast S bends the lights couldnt quite keep up with the car and lagged behind leaving you partially blind for a second - quite disconcerting.

The front lights were replaced twice under warranty but the problem never resolved.

So for me they are just more things to go wrong. Jules

Thanks RealBeale, Jules,
I have now come to a conclusion that the Adaptive Front Lighting was quietly dropped at the MY11 Facelift time.
I have tried looking at Press Releases/Tech Bulletins but all I can say is that no mention of the feature is apparent in the later years. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
