I have situation below

1. When I switch on the AC, I could see that AC compressor clutch not engaged.
2. I disconnect the power of AC and manually connect 12v + and clutch is engaged. So the issue is with
3. I suspect the fuse in main junction box could be damaged, below the suspect I have

a. F11 ==> 10A
b. F13 ==> 15A
c. R3 A/C
d. R5

Question
a. Is there any other fuse that could be the suspect?
b. How to check R3/R5 fuse?

oh yes, you are right. R is relay, thanks for correction

You tube shows lots of how to check a relay,

Have you got sufficient gas in the system as low pressure will cause the clutch not to engage.

The A/C Clutch is electronically controlled, are you sure that all the conditions are met for it to be called and power supplied?
Do you have any DTC error codes in system that may give you a clue to the failure?

You are right, I got the manual finally and found below mentioned for my car. Compressor clutch engagement is controlled by the ECM. So seems all relay is good condition. I will try to re-gas and see if this helps

i6 vehicles are fitted with a Zexel-Valeo KC-88 variable displacement A/C compressor.
Compressor displacement is
controlled by the Engine Control Module (ECM) based on current evaporator temperature and target evaporator temperature
signals received from the ATC module. From these values the ECM calculates the required compressor displacement and
provides a Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) signal to the compressor solenoid valve. The compressor solenoid valve is
mounted on the rear of the compressor and interprets the PWM signal as a displacement value and alters the position of
the internal swash plate accordingly.
For additional information, refer to: Control Components (412-01 Climate Control, Description and Operation).
The ECM will also reduce the displacement of the A/C compressor to its minimum level if 'full throttle' or automatic
transmission 'kick down' is requested. This feature is not present on Gulf specification vehicles.
Compressor clutch engagement is controlled by the ECM.

TD4
TD4 vehicles are fitted with a Visteon VS16 variable displacement A/C compressor. Displacement is controlled internally by
a control valve, which is integral with the compressor. The control valve measures the input and output pressures of the
refrigerant entering and leaving the compressor and controls the angle of the internal swash plate accordingly.
• NOTE: There is no external control over A/C compressor swash plate angle. Consequently, compressor displacement is
neither measured nor calculated by any external control component.
Compressor clutch engagement is controlled by the ECM.

The more I read about my FL2, the more I realise how little direct control I have over what it does.
It seems that every switch and button only allows me to REQUEST an action, and the car decides if it will it will grant my request. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

Brakes, clutch (on a manual) and steering. Everything else is an electrical signal and so can be interpreted and the computer can say no!

I finally realize the refrigerant is empty, after I recharge yes, the clutch is now engaged. This topic is considered closed

No idea, must be leakage somewhere, that is the next project, finding leakage
