My left front headlights not working; plus the brake lights both not working. It seems to be big coincidence that all the bulbs to have fused at one time. Is there some way to check whether the circuitry or some common fuse has gone wrong?

The headlight bulbs are known to blow together, happened to me, I would try replacing the bulbs first before delving deeper

Lots of FL2 lights are protected by FET’s so there are no fuses for them. Change the lamps (bulbs grow into flowers) and if things still don’t work try swapping the headlight units left to right (just plugging them in) to check if the problem swaps with the unit.

As BossBob says each FL2 Lamp is controlled - and monitored - individually by its own FET.
The lamp will not be given 12v power unless all conditions are met to be perfect, Or importantly, thought
to be perfect.

It would seem that a 'Hard Reset' was carried out (take the battery terminals off battery, and short them together to take all residual voltage away from car 12v supply)

An extra note ---
A multitude of random failures can be reset in this way on the FL2.
Also I have found that Double Locking car, and leaving it for 10 mins or so, will clear some 'Traction' and 'Reduced Performance' possibly caused by low voltage during the starting procedure.

As the temperature falls in the UK I expect the forum will get a few posts about poor starting and random faults as (tested good?) batteries fail. I am afraid that poor battery life is a FL2 'feature'. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
