That sounds as if they think they can change the price, however they may state that but it may not be lawful, I suspect that unless that condition is stated on the payment page it is not legal, they accepted your your money before then asking for the freight charges which changes the contract, They can't take your payment then increase the price, they can refund you the cost plus your expenses on currency exchange and refuse to supply.

I suspect the mats are made in China and are available elsewhere, I wonder if they are actually in stock and the increase is referenced to the Middle east problems my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

Got another reply from "John Craddock Ltd" today which just repeats their earlier statement. They are not going to honor their sale to me, for which they immediately deducted money from my bank account.

Since I gave up on demanding the goods I bought from them, and they wouldn't sell me/ship to me, I demanded a refund, which I have just received. Such a pity, that this is the way to make business. To me at least, it shouldn't be a hassle to pay for parts for a car, with todays smooth posibilities. I would prefer if both companies and customers could deal with each other in a more honest way.

Euro Car Parts, whose massive hub is only 10 mins from me, dont list the rear disk or pads for 2014 FL2 - the ones for the EPB.

Its a shame really. 20 years ago I used pop into Craddocks quite often to get bits and bobs for my old Landys. You just went to the counter and asked for X, Y, or Z - it was usually in stock. Reminds me of when I was a student in Brum in the 1970s - I used to pop into Fletchers and wade through the BL parts bins looking for things for my Mini. But things have changed - shops cant compete with on-line selling and nowadays little seems to be held in stock and nearly everything takes several days at least to obtain. Jules |

Fletcher ! Now there's a blast from the past. Used to go there with a friend who had a Triumph Bonneville and rummage through all the parts bins for nuts and bolts.

I agree about stock. It seemed to be the holy grail to hold as little stock as possible, what ever the business is |
