I always thought that an EGR service was where you just thrashed it to get it hot and clear all the crap out. Drive it like you stole it. |

Yes you need to get the engine hot to burn off carbon but as the EGR doesnt operate during acceleration, you woulde need to cruise for a while after blasting it to allow the EGR valve to open.
