I'd appreciate recommendations for a brand of detachable tow bar. A couple of web sites say these are not not available for my 2010/11 FL2.

Thanks Jules. I see PF Jones sell this kit and I've read all I can on their site (very good). Freelander 2 2010 [MY2011] FA 2.2 TD4 XS |

The Witter system does not require the bumper to be removed but you need to remove the NS bumper reflector (flat blade screwdriver to lever it out) and drill two 20mm holes to give access to a long 13mm long socket for the two M8 nuts at bracket (B)

Thanks very much. I've downloaded the PDF and now I'm researching electrics (I have no experience at all of car wiring and am colour-blind). If the tricky electrics are the same as in this vid I'll have to bale and pay someone else.

Both land rovers I’ve owned have had 13 pin sockets on their towbars. I can confirm that a 13 to 7 pin adapter disables the rear parking sensors, or at least they did when I plugged my 7 pin light bar in. |
