Calling Autel AP200 Experts!

Autel AP200 Experts... sorry for the long post!

My new AP200 has arrived and so far looks really great; however, I'm looking to do a couple of specific things and wondered if anyone might be able to offer some guidance please?

1. I'd like to be able to compare what the EGR is actually doing, verses what the car wants it to do (desired), as I'm trying to capture the reason for a blip in acceleration / turbo flutter that has remained after replacing the EGR, despite the replacement solving a much bigger issue with 'missing' / turbo flutter. Wondering if the new EGR isn't quite right.

2. I'd like to be able to compare what the Turbo Actuator is actually doing, verses what the car wants it to do (desired). For the same reason as above, as the actuator was replaced before hitting upon the EGR, but now wondering if the new actuator is faulty.

3. I'd like to be able to perform an EGR replacement reset and Air Path Relearn (in case this wasn't done correctly by the garage as not Land Rover specialists).

4. I'd like to be able to calibrate the Turbo Actuator, in case that wasn't done right either.

Many thanks in advance for your help, and for directing me to the AP200 in the first place!

All the best,

Tom.

It all depends if your car has the sensors fitted to record/access this information you require.
You can always contact Autel but url can give you an idea what you can see.

Think they are one and the same Jules?
I bought one initially for my wife's VW Tiguan, since gone ( the Tiguan not my wife!) and son's Polo.
Then rather than pay an annual additional vehicle subscription of £19.99 to add the Landrover I just bought an additional Autel.
One thing I discovered is you can only link one unit to your email address. A bit inconvenient having to used different email for additional devices.
I got a "help" call from my sister in law whose Skoda Fabia had broken down with an engine misfire, I thought I'd need to purchase an additional vehicle licence to diagnose it as although Skoda is part of VAG, Autel don't reflect this. I plugged in my Landrover unit anyway and did a basic OBD scan and it identified misfire in cylinder 3, confirming my suspicion of a failed coil pack. Quite pleased at the convenience and ability of the unit for it's price. The VW unit stays in the garage but the LR one lives in the Freelander, it sits neatly in the little coin tray to the right of the steering wheel. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

I had a replacement Turbo fitted in my 2009 car, and had to have the opening parameters set on dealer level software. This means one has to reset the Throttle Body parameters as well. The EGR valve controls the Turbo Actuator opening cycle. In contrast, I put a complete replacement 2010 engine in my daughter's 2008 car, and it worked straight away. Its getting a bit stuttery on low throttle openings now, so looks like it needs a dealer level reset. The Autel software, I found tells one that the EGR valve works, but not enough to reset it. Its all a balancing act, controlled by the ECU, and they are all old engines now, running on fuel they were not designed for.
