I had a replacement Turbo fitted in my 2009 car, and had to have the opening parameters set on dealer level software. This means one has to reset the Throttle Body parameters as well. The EGR valve controls the Turbo Actuator opening cycle. In contrast, I put a complete replacement 2010 engine in my daughter's 2008 car, and it worked straight away. Its getting a bit stuttery on low throttle openings now, so looks like it needs a dealer level reset. The Autel software, I found tells one that the EGR valve works, but not enough to reset it. Its all a balancing act, controlled by the ECU, and they are all old engines now, running on fuel they were not designed for. |
