Something wrong with the turbo or EGR valve maybe ? But its odd youre getting no fault codes.

To me the symptom are very like experienced in 'Limp Home' mode.

it needs to be scanned with a diagnostic tool this should tell you where the fault is and where to begin |

He may have done it with a cheap code reader a good diagnostic like SDD will record history of problems and faults even if codes are not present |
