Evoque "Dumped" outside my house.

Sometime between 10pm Saturday night and 8am this morning (Sunday) an Evoque has been unceremoniously been dumped in between mine and my neighbours drive. It seems to have suffered from a heavy diesel leak and some sort of spill kit has been put down. I can see there's diesel around the front o/s (mostly washed away with today's rain). The pictures don't do it any justice, but it really is stopping our neighbour from getting off of his drive unless he encroaches on to his neighbours property - which he can only do if his neighbour isn't parked on their drive ! It's more an inconvenience than a problem to my partner, as she now cannot get off the drive unless I move my Freelander back by a couple of foot so she can squeeze between the gap. My Freelander is usually parked in such a way as to not completely block our drive and the missus can squeeze past to the left as she exits the drive - which she can't do due to the Evoque being there. So I'll have to move my car in the morning so she can get off to work.
Best part is, the opposite side of the road is clear as there's no dropped kerbs or driveways, so it makes me wonder why they pulled over to the right instead of just parking up normally.
I wonder how long it will remain there as nobody has been out to it at all today. They don't seem to be in too much of a hurry to get it removed and they obviously don't have any break down cover or it'll have gone by now.
Oh well, there are worse problems to have. Rolling Eyes

My Freelander is literally to the right of the picture, just out of shot.

You can always check Reg Number with police in case it's been stolen and crashed, or even been in a hit and run accident.
The police will normally check with owner that it has not been abandoned.

If it is an 'Obstruction' then the police should at least advise you on what they are doing. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

I would tow it a few feet away to remove the access issue. Get the vin and check if its been reported stolen with police. Thief can easily put false plates on.

Guys, the owner turned up this morning along with an RAC van. An injector popped out after a couple of injector bolts snapped. Obviously couldn't be fixed in situe so a recovery truck came an hour or so later and off it went.
The most annoying part is the fact that I had to move my Freelander so the recovery guy could load the Evoque, which has resulted in more spilt diesel .............which now goes under my Freelander when it's parked, giving the impression that it's my motor that has thrown a tantrum allover the road ! Plus I'm left with the cleaning up ! Censored
Oh well, at least it's gone - and good riddance. I don't need an Evoque lowering the tone outside my house ! Whistle

I happened across a YT video back along done by a mobile mechanic who was called out to an Ewok and I'm pretty sure that had the same issue...

Perhaps advising the local authority that an environmental contamination event has occurred will result in an absorption kit deployment?

They might be able to make a claim against the Evoque's insurers, but you get the atea cleaned. Diesel will keep rising with the accompanying odour for some while.

Ingenium, I think. Didn't recognise it as a Td4/Sd4 when the RAC guy popped the bonnet. The offending injector had be blown completely out, the bolts looked like they would need to be drilled out as they were broken at the head so you couldn't get a stud extractor on them..

Never heard of an injector blowing out Shocked
Typical though; the injectors are hard enough to remove when you want them out, then they pop out by themselves. Laughing Jules

Actually you should report it to the water authority as they need to clean it to ensure it doesn't enter the waterways, and then they can bill the owner
