Australia 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Auto Lago Grey

It's called an X-Bar and it's for a couple of driving lights and a UHF aerial. I just attached it with some self tapping screws. There isn't a lot of solid stuff to anchor things on around there. I saw an FL2 near my place in the Blue Mtns with one on and the UHF installed. Maybe he's a member here?

Ukraine 2013 Freelander 2 2.0T SE Auto Fuji White

I haven't actually seen this thread before.

Thanks for bringing it to light. Sadly some very experienced Freelander owners who have moved elsewhere!

We have done some of the above mentioned routes (never walk rivers in the top end of Australia). To be honest been a bit more reluctant to push the car in some of these situations.

But we have been to many spots which put far more capable cars to shame that we have got to.

The outback is big tyres (not 'poodle' tyres), TPMS, 2 spare wheels, tyre repair kit & quality compressor(s). Spare fuel & water... Almost forgot...Tyres which you treat better than Wifey! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
