They were taking a Sunbeam Rapier away from an old chap who had loved it for years and years. He was trying to show them the wad of service sheets he had retained.
But the chaps weren't really interested said "service history counts for nowt" and saying in as many words that selling at auction is all about how it drives and how it looks.
Interesting I thought.

Every thing can be got at. If someone wants something and someone else is willing to let them have it at a price they agree, it will happen.

I have pretty much every receipt¹ for petrol for my car since 2014, let alone servicing receipts & all the parts I added to the car. Plus manuals & any other documentation. All in a leverarch folder. Simple technology.

I doubt anyone could give a sh_t!

¹There are one or two missing receipts which were then hand written at the time due to the non cash network failure... I could pay cash... becoming a more frequent occurrence over recent times. The old saying. Cash is king. Too many network failures these days... for the "dumb ones", could leave a daughter as collateral! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

I dont know about that .

But its a bit like the fact that when selling a car nobody has ever asked me how many times Ive washed the car or what polish Ive used. As long as its clean and shiny on the day nothing else matters. Jules

Since 2014 I have washed the car 20 times at most. Basically twice a year. Or more to the point after an outback trip & or so that my bloody mechanic doesn't clean it for me as the circular swirls on the paintwork are not to the radius which I approve of... or I clean the wheel arches as so they don't get completely out of hand!
