The Freelander:

Still one of the best looking cars on the road, with basically a two decade old design.

The rubbish that all the designers are capable of coming up with these days... A dog's breakfast & associated landmines have more redeeming design qualities!

Ford failed on the Ford Territory (my Sister had one, now an Evoque since 2012, even a whisker older than my Freelander), an Australian Ford build. One can see the design history from the Freelander. But Ford got the design sweet spot right with the Freelander & got it wrong with the Territory.

The Freelander has become a timeless design. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Have you noticed how many new car models are going back to the shape of the Freelander2.
Squared off rears. Freelander 2 is one of the best cars I have driven in over 60 tears of motoring.
2010 HSE auto,130k miles. Intend to keep until either I or the car crumbles first.
So good and comfortable to drive long distances in.
