Freelander2 2013 PTU seals

Chasing down a small oil leak from the PTU - 2 seals on the main shaft into the gear box diff. Seals LR003155 and LR003154 seem to be inserted one on top of the other. Main seal LR003154 first then LR003155. A dry fit shows these 2 seals will join together is this the correct way to install them? Both seals came out together with a slide hammer but unfortunately didn't notice if the back of 3155 was under the front lip of 3154

Ant information would be very helpful.

I have the samec question.
Ive got a leaking from the PTU I think _ Ineed to check but I think its the gearbox side.

Well I had a spare day so I removed the ptu and replaced all the seals, the PTU was leaking from both sides.


Made a slide hammer attachment with some self tappers and a piece of scrap steel for the LH side(the seal is recessed)

The rh side was easier again two self tappers and a pry tool to get it out.

PTU was leaking but the seal on the Auto transmission was fine, so left that alone. You'll know if its leaking as the fluid is red...my leaks were rusty brown/amber and it was indeed the ptu

Ended up replacing all of the PTU seals and the driveshaft seal which fits inside the splined sleeve. And the circlip was replaced inside said sleeve as well..

Just about to put it back together.
