Thanks. Did you manage to view the pictures from Cambo’s thread ? Presumably you used eBay for the module and aerial amp etc
With regards to the software had you found someone local to update?

Hi, the post is old so there’s no pictures. Cambo has a website http://oldjaguar.com/en/sp/DAB_X152. This has all the information for retro fitting DAB. I used eBay for some parts first using part numbers to search and if they weren’t available, I used Britcar. Facebook has a freelander 2 owners page which is a huge help and there’s support there. I found somebody local to reprogramme the car through Facebook. Search FLOG2. With regards to the aerial/ coax in this post I found a replacement that worked.

Hope this helps.

Pete

That website seems to be just timing out; is oldjaguar.com still running?

I'm guessing this is a dead thread now?

I've found a PDF doc on the D3 forum where it seems Cambo also had some input, but nobody's replying to anything here... Sad

Trying to source the COAX cables...

Really this is aimed at CAMBO.
I have a 2010 HSE with DAB. I read CAMBOS report (and all the thread) and thought it seems like a simple swap is all thats required.
I got a DAB+ module from ebay last week (a 2015 model) with one of the serial numbers listed.

I took the old module out and substituted the 2015 DAB+ module. COAX plug no probs, FIBRE optics no problem. Power supply !!!
The original has a 2 way plug and socket and the new module has a 4 way socket!!!

To my limited capabilities that was me stumped and end of my DAB+ upgrade aspirations. Classic FM has gone away and i miss it on DAB.

Any clue as to what the other 2 pins do and where i can get a 4 way plug?
Comments greatfully accpeted.

Cheers PANOZZ

I have never used ALIEXPRESS so had to set up an account. I use a VPN so it kept arguing with me about where i lived. Eventually i got it through i live in the uk. It charged me Canadian dollars with transaction fees etc Shrug.

Part on its way to me now.

YIPPEE.

Do i need to worry about reprogramming the ECU or whatever computer needs editing? or will it just work?

Yippee
I now have a DAB+ module in 2010 HSE.

Classic FM is back on DAB+.

I still have a problem.

When i was faffing around originally (when i reliased i had lost Classic FM) i managed to reprogram BBC radio 1 to York BBC. Not a problem as they are both DAB and not DAB+

Ok so the new module is in and Classic FM is back on button 5. Button 2 still plays Radio 2, Button 3 plays Radio 3 etc (Implying that BBC DAB service is till being recieved by the module).

The problem occurs when i try and find Radio one for her in doors and put it back on button 1. I cant find BBC national DAB on any of the ensembles so cant channel search and find Radio 1. But i know its finding National DAB when i check button 2, 3 and 4 which are all BBC national DAB (not DAB+)

Any clues on how to wake up the ensemble search to find BBC national DAB would be gratefully recieved

Andy

Found it.
I told the radio it was in Canada. I guess the bands must be wider. Anyway setting the radio to Canada allowed it to go away and search for ensembles over all the frequencies. It now shows BBC national DAB and all the other ensembles.

Radio 1 is restored, my life will be a lot easier now.

Andy
