My 2011MY doesnt beep at low temperature - probably another cost cutting measure by LR (just like the rear headphone sockets and kangaroo pockets...)

Both my 59 XS auto and my 11 XS auto did not bleep when the Ice warning came on, My wifes Fiesta does, and the orange snow flake goes from orange (-4) to red if it drops to -2.

2 bleeps for ice warning at +4 or below. Gone, 2007 TD4 SE Auto Baltic blue, clear side repeaters, full sized alloy spare.

English by birth..... Yorkshire by the grace of God.

Mine also does 2 beeps if temperature falls to +4c or below

Yeah, i6 petrol/gas, -8+c, snowflake but no beeps. Likely only diesel.

I have a feeling it's not because of the cold weather last few days has not been cold enough, but still get two bleeps when i unlock on the fob without opening the door ?

I had this problem a while back, after digging through old threads on here I found out, in my case, it was related to the interior alarm volumetric sensor. Over time they fill up with insects and other debris and the beeps are warning you its not operating correctly. I took mine down and cleaned it but still had the beeps so I then did another Hard Reset and its been fine since. Re being related to the outside temperature, I used our car a few times last week and the dash showed -5 but there were no beeps just and amber warning for Ice on the info display.

As I recall it is just held in place by its outer cover, it was a fight to get it to let go as I remember. Hard Reset is fine just ground the Pos cable to the engine or any nearby metal. If you're still uncomfortable about it just leave it disconnected for an hour or so. Remember you will need to reset the one touch function on the widows afterwards as well as the clock.
