First time i heard these bleeps, two when opening the car so due to cold weather then, at first i thought it may have been alert that fob battery was low, or car battery is low. |

Have had the snowflake warning a number of times in Australia at 4°C, in Tasmania & in central Australia outback with ice forming on the car. Will have to actually get to the snow again before I drop dead.

I had this problem a while back, after digging through old threads on here I found out, in my case, it was related to the interior alarm volumetric sensor. Over time they fill up with insects and other debris and the beeps are warning you its not operating correctly. I took mine down and cleaned it but still had the beeps so I then did another Hard Reset and its been fine since. Re being related to the outside temperature, I used our car a few times last week and the dash showed -5 but there were no beeps just and amber warning for Ice on the info display.

Thank you for the link just read it and it looks hopeful, is it easy to remove the interior alarm volumetric sensor, ie any screws to remove or does it just clip in. Also what do owners think of doing an hard reset, touching the + and - together for 30seconds ? surely this is not a safe process could it not damage certain modules on the car. |

As I recall it is just held in place by its outer cover, it was a fight to get it to let go as I remember. Hard Reset is fine just ground the Pos cable to the engine or any nearby metal. If you're still uncomfortable about it just leave it disconnected for an hour or so. Remember you will need to reset the one touch function on the widows afterwards as well as the clock. I'm not sure if it looses seat and mirror position memory. 2007 TD4 XS The work horse that earns its up keep

You aren’t connecting the positive and negative poles of the battery together. Disconnect the leads as if you were removing the battery and just touch them together. It allows capacitors and the like to discharge without being recharged by the battery. It’s a reset! |
