Its definitely a known issue that old cars can develop leaks. It usually means an oil seal is failing somewhere.

If it's engine oil and it's not coming from the air pipe connections top of engine it is more than likely coming from the crankshaft seal. |

Yes, you are right the oil might even be coming from somewhere other than the gearbox. Jules |
