I agree with these comments because, FL2 is very 'battery hungry' - and may need a new battery after as little as 3 years - even if the standard garage battery test says its ok. A lot of connections are under the carpets - check floor and boot for signs of water. If problems persist - try disconnecting power at battery and touching leads to 'hard reset modules - dry out any damp areas - reconnect battery. If you swap the battery get a bigger capacity (that will fit) FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011) FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 77k+ miles) (MY2015) Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History (Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?) |

75AH battery is not enough for the Freelander.

As you can see from my post above my battery seemed to test 'good' and charged up ok. But it just did not have any real capacity, so I am suspicious that it may have suffered a (partial) cell failure, resulting in a high internal resistance. The symptoms of this are normally low charging current/premature full charge, and low voltage under load. See Nodge's post in this link for advice and photo of larger installed battery https://www.freel2.com/forum/topic38965.html?highlight=noco FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011) FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 77k+ miles) (MY2015) Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History (Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?) |

That's interesting, because my battery was initially showing a really low voltage and shows full charge when it should be no where near.

It might be worth getting hold of a battery charger to use to maintain the new battery. Land Rover have sold badged versions of Ctek battery chargers for this very purpose and use them in their showrooms. |
