Blower Fan location - Freelander 2 2007

Hi
My blower fan has stopped working during the last couple of frosty days.
I was told i could give the fan a turn to see if its sticky.. however I cannot see the thing!

Im led to believe its beside the battery under the bonnet - can anyone help with location?

Fan buttons light up just nothing happening.

If you are aware of and/or have ever changed the cabin filter, the blower is in that general vicinity. You can reach the fan blades from the engine bay if you remove the wipers and the cover that runs the length of the bay against the windshield.

Have you used the search facility, as IIRC Lightwater has got a thread
that shows the location. DAVE.

Do a search on here, there will be threads about the fan. It's needs the dash out to access it but if you take the battery cover off you will see the one of the blend flap holes on the bulkhead.

Shine a touch in and you will see part of the fan. you may be able to gingerly prod it with a stick. It is also easy to lubricate the front bearing but needs a sharp drill and the plenum top cover off

My fan made a real racket a couple of weeks ago. Turned out the squirrel fan was full of wet leaves. Accessed under the bonnet a garden cane was used to turn the fan, and the Hoover to suck out the wet leaves. Took awhile but got there in the end. Good luck
