I have always liked the design of the Freelander 2 and especially the facelift front and rear from 2011 on. When I ran into this car, I just fell for it. Despite the full service history, I am facing some issues with the car that I intend to sort. I hope with some experience and support from this forum, she will be purring along again and for years to come.

I live in Ravenna, on the Adriatic coast of Italy.
I just bought a Freelander 2 year 2012, diesel engine 190 ho, automatic.
It's a fine car, regretfully it's a S model and I miss some options and gadgets. I would like to change the head unit, but will post in the proper section.

New member here, but longtime lurker and grateful for all the helpful suggestions I have seen here in the past.
Had my Freely for nearly 11 years now and love it; now considering upgrading instead of replacing, so in need of any advice further that might be forthcoming.

Thanks for accepting me to the group
I have had this issue on 2 occasions where my FL2 diesel displays "engine performance reduced" and the engine dies out.
both times this has occurred is when the fuel tank was at quarter tank.

A diagnostic shows Low pressure pump fault.

I have now removed the tank , (having been through the task of exhaust and prop shaft removal)
and removed the intank low pressure pump.

knowing that the low pressure pump only pumps fuel from one side of the tank to the other, i put my arm through to the opposite side of the tank and there was no diesel on that side.

in my mind the low pressure pump fuel pump error was showing correct and the issue is actually related to fuel starvation due to half of the tank being empty.

Any thoughts from you guys?
