You need a way of sucking the old oils out of the diffs as JLR put no drains in the diffs - sealed for life (which is a short life if you dont change the oils) Haldex needs to be removed to drain the oil fully. Jules |

JLR often refer to the haldex unit as the "on-demand coupling" - just to be awkward Jules |

Not correct. The front differential is within the gearbox casing, not the PTU. The PTU attaches to the side of the gearbox and contains a bevel gear to send power to the rear wheels via the propshaft. The PTU also has the drive shaft to the front RH wheel passing through the centre of it. Jules |

For a DPF, you are supposed to use a low SAPS (ash) oil, which helps reduce clogging of the DPF. However it's bit of a trade off, as low SAPS oil doesn't lubricate quite as well as more conventional oils designed for use in engines without a DPF. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate.
