Gearbox oil top up

Hi, once again, a very simple thing made difficult by Land Rover so I’m asking you the experts for help.
I have 2013 FL2, early version of the late facelift model. I’m having issues with the torque converter, again but before I pay to replace if for the second time I want to add a tube of shudder oil to see if it does anything.
I can’t see the top up tap/bolt where you would add gearbox oil. I believe it’s situated somewhere behind the front near side wheel, can’t see it. On some FL2s it’s easy to find once you remove the wheel or put a full lock on.
Can anyone help please 🤞🏼
Kev.

Remove the air filter box and she's under there.

You'll need some extensions, a torx driver bit, and a LOT of swearing as that thing holds on tight.

EDIT: That is assuming it's the same as on the earlier model...

Here's a picture.
The fill plug is a T55 (I think) spline bolt which does get Censored tight. I use a number of 1/2" extension bars to raise above the bonnet slam panel and then use a breaker bar to crack it off. I find it struggle with a normal 1/2" ratchet. The battery ugga dugga gun would probably do it ok. When re fitting just nip it up. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

Hi Kev,

May I ask what issues you are having with your Torque Converter?

Is it the dreaded Clunk/Thump in stop/start heavy traffic?
