!!! Warning !!! - Auto Gearbox - Smith and Allan Tranguard

Just a warning about an issue i had this week. I got some Tranguard Atf (JWS 3324)for the later model auto box a few weeks ago. On pouring into a jug to start the refill I noticed small particles floating in the fluid and on closer inspection in the cans. Spoke to S & A. They have investigated and found an issue with the red dye which is added as the last process after blending.
They have replaced it next day with an un-dyed version so I can finish the job.

If you have some check it before pouring it in. 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 GS - Orkney Grey

More likely the red dye not blended in properly and not caught by quality control? Maybe separation after??
Unless there was a recall, maybe it was a small batch, regardless, would love to know the reason.

Yes it would be the dye . It’s probably dyed by adding a powder dye to a bulk storage tank and recirculating the fluid by pump before packing . I used to manage a plant where we manufactured bulk antifreezes and brake fluids , all dyed in a similar manner to suit the end brand requirements . 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership
