Left had Mirror stopped folding

Hi
The left hand mirror on my 07 freelander has stopped folding in.
Adjust fine but has stopped folding.
It was noisy and I sprayed some silicon spray in there.
Now it has stopped -
Whats the likely cause / solution?
Thanks

Maybe corrosion in one of the plugs. Unplug & replug all the way back to the fuse box.

Test plug connections with multimeter while at it. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

If it was noisy, then it's almost certainly the fold transmission has failed. Unfortunately it's not available separately, so a complete mirror is needed. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

Manually fold the body of the mirror to the front and then to the back, then to it's 'set' position.

Lock the car and the mirror is back to it's usual status.

Thanks for the replies - nothing seems to work so I'm guessing a new mirror unit is needed.

I had to buy a new mirror a couple of years ago and, surprisingly, I found Euro Car Parts the cheapest. That may have changed, of course, but worth checking out.
