What year? Up to the interior facelift, the front power socket was ignition switched, the rear and boot were permanently live. After the interior facelift, I believe only the boot socket is permanently live, the others being ignition switched. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Gone. 2006 Tonga Green i6 HSE. Gone. Audi A5 convertible, my daily driver. 1972 Hillman Avenger GT, the project. |

After the interior facelift in 2013, all sockets including the boot rely on the ignition being on. There is a couple of mins delay before they power off once the ignition is turned off. FL2 SD4 XS 2013 Orkney Grey |
