I guess it depends on how much margin they have in the motor. If they are having to spend to much they would probably move it on as a trade sale. |

Thanks, Andy, but I have the 2008 Sheet which corresponds to the Haynes info. But I want an official Land Rover sheet to be able to show the dealer. The 2008 one will do as the intervals haven’t increased, but I’d like a 2012/2013 one showing the 7 years for the cam belt. They’re changing it but I’d like to point out that they’re wrong to say it’s not needed until 10 years. |

Yes, it’s interesting that the main dealer would have it for sale amongst all the £100k+ Defenders rather than push it out to their own second hand lots nearby. But it does seem to be very nice so we might as well see if we can get the transmission fluids done as well as the cam belt! |

Just make sure they do the water pump at the same time. MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

Indeed, I’ve already told them that (being an FL2 owner myself) but no harm to remind them when I tell them have have to do the transmission fluids as well. |

I just had my 2014 SD4 with 71k miles serviced at a LR dealer and they changed the aux drive belt. The invoice said 144,000 mile service. They have serviced the car for the past 6 years and they seem to go on the expected mileage rather than what's on the clock. They did the cambelt a couple of years ago at 7 years. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Thanks. Did they give you a copy of the Maintenance Check Sheet? That’s what I need to show the dealer that it really is listed. |

No they didn't, service was basically an oil and oil filter plus pollen filter change and the aux drive belt. Previous year included air and fuel filter. Note that fuel filter is important as these cars are very sensitive to fuel filter problems, they are usually replaced every second service.

The only maintenance chart I can find is the 2008 one (jpg/pdf) My SD4 (64 plate) was all on-line service history - no service booklet. Ive kept a record myself of all the work done using the older sheets. But nothing really changed in the service schedule except the SD4 dropped to 7 years for the cambelt. Jules |

Could you possiblY get a check sheet from the online history? It should be listed under the Service Information tab. Im looking for proof of when the cam belt needs done - changed from 10 to 7 years, but when - and what should be done at the 10 year service, e.g. transmission fluids. We don’t yet have the VIN for my daughter's car but it’s June 2013 so not included in OSH. |

Many thanks. I’m struggling to read it as it’s got compressed in uploading I suspect. I think it says renew the automatic transmission oil, but I can’t see if it says anything about PTU or rear diff. |
