Did a hard reset. All sorted now and working as it should

Many thanks for your help

Neil.

Many thanks to this forum once again.! Invaluable advice.

This week my facelift 2013 XS starting doing the double bleeps every time I unlocked it.
Following forum advice I took down the sensor in the headliner , disconnected it, blew it and sprayed it with WD40 and reconnected. - no difference , still bleeping on unlock. So tried the hard set. Unlocked, wait a few minutes with the door open until it powered down, disconnected the battery leads, held them together for 30 seconds and then waited 15 mins before reconnecting. Great result - no more bleeping on unlock! Just had to reset the Windows for one shot closing.

How does this work ?? Suppose it's the auto equivalent of pulling the computer plug and the reconnecting!

Anybody know if the.bleeping is likely to return ? FL2 SD4 XS 2013 Orkney Grey

Australia 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 SE Auto Ipanema Sand

Can definitely confirm this is the issue the interior motion sensor. My 2014SD4 SE was giving me two loud beeps on unlock, got a second hand one from the UK and put it in continued to beep for about 3 days so was very disappointed and then tonight when I unlocked it no beeps so very happy looks like it takes a while for the computer to realise the component is not faulty before it ceases the beeping. I also couldn't clear the fault code but now it's not beeping I'll see if the code can be cleared in the morning. This video powerful UK shows the same issue of not clearing or stopping the beep strait away but persist as it takes a while to reset and stop beeping.

So if this issue is driving any of you crazy get a new or second hand interior motion sensor as it's definitely the root cause of the two beeps on unlock
