I have put a new fuel filter in already. Are you suggesting another fuel filter?

What make of fuel filter did you use?
Consensus of opinion is that non genuine or non oem filters can cause running issues.
I've always used genuine LR although last service it got a Bosch because I was able to buy full kit at decent price. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

I used a bosch one. Should I replace it again?

Still no further along with the car and still getting the same faults despite changing all of the listed parts.

Does anyone else have anything else I can try/check? Currently waiting to go into Broadfields specialist but a month wait at the moment.

Hopefully someone see something I don't?

I have checked all the wiring and the gauge has been working faultlessly. Still exactly same issue even after changing fuel rail pressure sensor twice too two different ones and I changed the fuel rail pressure regulator no joy.

Checked all hoses and lines all seem pretty good. Air filter seems alright. Car us booked into broadfields but not until 28th march. Anyone have anything else worth trying?

Any sensors on the high pressure pump or regulators or anything?

Had another look this evening, noticed alot of smoke coming from the engine bay when revving. It was still there when idling but worse when revving. Looks like its coming out the back of the engine? Convinced they aren't related but happy to explore options? Any gaskets fail down here?

When revving car sounds like misfiring and exhaust makes alot of noise. I have circled abit of smoke and circled where its coming from. Just want to be clear, the car is not performing any differently and still has the fuel pressure low fault.

I had this problem when the leak off pipes kept blowing off the injectors, diesel was pooling up in the injector recesses and then spilling down the back of the engine. Other causes of smoke coming from the back engine are oil leaking from the air intake pipe or could be a failed gasket to the camshaft cover. Does it smell like burning diesel or oil?

I had fuel pressure issues which I think was caused by not being primed properly which led to an air lock in the fuel rail or pump. There are a couple of ways of bleeding trapped air but the easiest (but controversial for some) method is to loosen the rail pipes one by one with the engine running.

Is it possible that one of your injectors is stuck open giving you low pressure? Corrado VR6 Mystic Blue - Gone

Are these the pipes you speak of?

I did notice a little bit of fuel on the back of that area but I assumed this was where I had changed the fuel pressure sensor a couple of times and the fuel pressure regulator.

Do you think this would cause a fuel rail pressure low situation? As in the system can't maintain pressure as the leak off pipes aren't even sealing?

You should be able to see if they are leaking when the car is running, if you've removed them a few times or if they are old you will want to change the little gasket where it connects to the injector. The pipes themselves and the gaskets are easy to damage. Corrado VR6 Mystic Blue - Gone

I'll have a look tonight and see but back of the engine does seem worse. Does it make sense that the smoke worsens when revving it? As in the more we rev the more Fuel pressure creates the more that should go through the leak back but that then leaks off?

Hi did the problem develop before or after the Bosch fuel filter was fitted, the only reason I ask is that I had a similar experience with a Bosch fuel filter replaced it with a LR001313 genuine LR one (manufactured by Purflux) and that resolved the issue.
