Struts delivered & fitted - the work of just a few minutes. Tailgate now opens fully without assistance but it takes a little more effort to close it now. |

Had a couple of " new" noises over the last week or so. Wheel bearing type noise from the rear, turned out to be a frozen handbrake actuator. Both sides stripped and cleaned / freed off. Noise gone 😁

Took it for the MOT, which it passed. There are some advisories for some corrosion, a softened rear bush and slightly more parking brake lever play than the MOT man would like. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

I think my MOT man has just been on a refresher course, as he seemed very happy to get his metal prodding stick at any corrosion he found. He said he was just covering his ass but I wasn't convinced.

Have you joined Costco? or rather can you join them? about 20ppl cheaper. Common sense isn't very common.

Passed the MOT but testing was too much for one of the old rear CV boots and was beginning to spray out grease. Rear dif was leaking from the seal anyway so took the shaft out cleaned up, regreased and replaced both boots and the oil seal.

Not a very nice day for me. Had to have my old black lab put down so a trip to the vets then drive across the field to bury him in the pheasant pen where all my other gundogs are buried. The house seems there's somthing missing . I like to think we both had good days out together so RIP 'Drake' enjoy that big pheasant shoot in the sky. 11 GS Bali Blue
