Haldex issue

Hi all I had scrabbling at slow speeds on the front wheels on a tight turn.
After investigation I was told it needed a service and a new N373 VALVE, this was all done by myself and everything was working perfectly for a month, but then I noticed a sound from the rear when the auto box was changing up the gears, the only way I can describe it is it feels like the haldex is slipping in and out of gear it's like a slight juddering or the break is being quickly tapped on and off.
I have also noticed that sometimes the engine seems to have more power as if the 4x4 disconnected = more power and is easier to drive.
You can hear the engine pulsing when the haldex is turning on and off, if that makes any sense.
I have pulled the fuse for the haldex and the issue it still there but greatly reduced.
I am really stumped by this issue so any advice would be really appreciated.
Darren

Under normal driving conditions the FL2 is a FWD car. 4WD is only engaged when starting off from stationary to prevent front wheel spin. Hence front wheel spin is a sign of failed 4WD (PTU or haldex usually).
Skipping/juddering of tyres during slow turn on full lock is often indicative of a haldex not disengaging.

With all these things ring Bell Engineering. Jules

Agree with Jules, you need to talk with Bell Engineering.
Also, there are no gears in the Haldex. It’s just an electronically activated wet clutch.

Love the bit about the "non-existent magic lifetime filter cartridge" Laughing

FWIW my V181 haldex pump failed at 60K miles without any codes showing despite cleaning and changing the filters and oil at 40k miles. Jules

I had the same with mine (2010, 96k) and my local indy recommended a 'proper' service - haldex out, strip down on the bench, clean, refit and new oil as a first start. In the end I had to get this and a new pump but it certainly solved the problem.

Best of luck!

Not sure if you have resolved the problem, but a chat with / visit to, Bell Engineering, is advisable.
