This was once a very common fault but I dont think this fault has happened to an 08 or newer car so somebody somewhere knows how to mend it.

I keep getting HDC fault, system not available and the car refuses to start. After ejecting the key several times the system eventually resets and the car starts. Dealer cannot find a fault. Anyone else got the same problem? Got a solution? I keep getting HDC fault system not available, then car refuses to start. Usully have to eject key several times before system resets and car starts. Anyone else had problem? |

Also check that you are not inadvertently draining the battery - you must always lock the car with a double click, or the electrics will not power down. I have had this problem once, and I think it was down to using the rear door unlock button to open the car. Although the car locks automatically when the door is shut again, I suspect that it must still be double locked again to power everything down. |
