I have a manual FL2 TD4. This evening I was reversing out of a car park, stalled, reversed a bit more. Went forward a bit, stalled, then had a very odd noise from the engine as if it was almost stalling. I tried to put the car in to neutral but the gear lever was all floppy. I stalled the engine by lifting my foot of the clutch.

It's at the garage now but they are very busy to it could be a week before I hear anything.

It was the cable that had failed.

Thanks for letting us know the outcome. A bit surprised the dash had to come out! |

I doubt very much that the dash had to come out, the console perhaps!

He said "dash", when I collected it. He also said he never wants to do another one! Richard M |
