According to the Haynes manual " ... is located on the upper face of the transmission." and there is a grainy pic. Not a great deal of help I'm afraid.

The first and reverse switches are on the front face of the gearbox below the air filter housing assembly. I'm not sure which is which though, so you'll need to check which one isn't working.
