I have noticed in the new sales brochures that there is no Tambora Flame anymore, has this colour been withdrawn ? If this is so how many Freelander2's have been issued in this colour ? I am also trying to get a small pot of touchup paint does anyone know where I can get this ? |

Yes, it has definately been withdrawn for new vehicle orders, from around mid 2007. I'm not sure it was ever available for the diesel automatic versions of the FL2. The sales brochure always indicated that Tambora Flame would have limited availability, for the sales launch I guess. Life is not a dress rehearsal! |

Just bought a Baltic Blue TD4GS. When test driving my wife mentioned about the availability of the Tambora Flame, We were told it had been withdrawn and one of the reasons was they couldn't sell them! And that come trade in time that they got around 1000-1500 pounds less then the equivalent silver/black (Boring Colours)

Thanks to all who have replied. I adhore my tambora flame freel2. and YES my husband does have 'ginger hair too ! maybe its something Freudian ! It always looks clean and never shows any of those little polishing scratches that are so frequently spotted on the darker colours. You can always find the car in a car park and whow its still makes heads turn. Any ideas about the touch up paint pots - just in case I need to be prepared for winter chips ! |

I have a tambora flame fl2 also and yes my husband also has ginger hair. I havbe had many cars including the new honda civic which virtually fell apart at 18 months old. I love my new car and it does get many looks as i drive it but it is referred to by my husband as the tangowagon, but hey I dont care he has a boring silver disco 3. |
