For anyone interest in precisely why an insurer cannot automatically void a policy simply because of, say, lack of MOT or an undeclared mod:
In other words, if the claim arises or is materially exacerbated directly by the breach (for example, suspension mods) then you may have an issue, but if not then rejection of the claim isn't permitted. They can, of course, adjust the payout to reflect the value of an unmodified car and may even refuse to cover the policyholder's own losses and only pay out to third parties, but to blanket "no insurance" after an accident is not going to happen. That shouldn't be an issue for later cars with the electric handbrake, unless it affects the wires too. Not sure where they actually run. Jules |

Hi. This issue has come to mine also now. Frame rusted through several places. Reads that a replacement frame needs to be an early Evoque rear frame. Found a few on Ebay that ships to Norway. What years apply to an early Evoque frame? |

If early Ewok subframes from the 2.2 engine fit its likeley these are going to be getting old now, for peace of mind you can get a new one from here https://eurosubframes.com/collections/rear-subframe from another thread on here on this subject 2013 FL2 XS.

Can anyone advise if rear subframes unbolt and rebolt straight in or does the subframe need aligning to the body before all the other stuff gets fitted and wheel alignment done? Im sure i read somewhere that the front subframe has to be re aligned if its removed? |
