This could be a dry joint, try lubing the roll bar rubbers etc |

There is a redesigned rubber mount or bung of some sort which is supposed to address some suspension noise. Not sure if it's front, rear or both. Might be worth mentioning to the dealers.

The noise over speed bumps only happens on mine with an open throttle. Coasting over them makes no noise at all, deliberately accelerating off the top of them makes the most noise, I just live with it.

I don't know what the suspension set is on the FL2, but it could be anti-roll bars links. Just done this on my old ford focus. Easy job and parts might be cheaper on e-bay that the LR dealer?? Freelander 2.2e HSE , Privacy, Fully debadged, 19" Chrome SHadow alloys |

Spending a lot of time driving (crawling) in London, I have to navigate speed bumps all the time.

Exactly the same for me... glad in a way that i'm not the only one with this problem - however for me it always seems to be the front right that 'BANGS' when going over speed bump at what i consider normal speed. Previous cars, including mini cooper and Astra Coupe had no trouble navigating the same bumps at the same speed. ![]() I was going to take it to the dealer when i got a moment and have them check it out, but it seems a common issue... What is it that generates the "bang" - the suspension bottoming out ![]() Steve 2008 SE, HSE wheels, Black Premium Leather, Privacy Glass, Sports Kit, Side Steps, various LED upgrades and Clear side indicators. |

I suspect it is some part of the suspension topping out as it is a similar noise and feel axle tramp. |

It's the opposite for me. This is the noisiest car I've owned over speed bumps which is surprising since previous cars weren't 4x4s. It definitely sounds like the suspension hits the extent on the backside of a speed bump, maybe the damping on release is insufficient since it doesn't 'bottom out' on the front side of a speed bump ![]() |
