My a/c condenser has gone "pfffft" and let out all the magic cooling pixies, so I've got a new condenser on the way. While I have the bumper off I'll also replace the front parking sensors as 3 of them are in a near permanent fault state and the 4th is also corroded so will doubtless soon be joining the party.

Fair one - more thinking along the lines of "make a day of it" and get anything preventative I can reasonably do with the bumper off done in one. Current driveway contents:

I don't know if the desiccant ships with the condenser.

With the bumper off, you may as well remove the plastic arch liners and rust proof what you can. Surprising how much crap can get under there and start it rusting. |

Instructions unclear, reaching for hammer and chisel Good point. I believe it's a Nissens unit that's coming, and those usually ship with the desiccant. It's turning up on Tuesday, and I won't be doing the job until next weekend at the earliest, so if not I can order it. LR002942 for the desiccant, if anyone is interested, and LR002684 for the plug, just in case your chisel is too large Current driveway contents: 2021 V60 Cross Country B5 2009 FL2 dog bus and shooting wagon On Order: 2023 Fisker Ocean Ultra - deposit paid. |

I would check the cables to the parking sensors. They chafe and allows water into the insulation which corrodes the cables. |

Good call. I'll add cable condition and resistance check to the list and make sure I've got some spirawrap handy. Current driveway contents:
