PTU out, how bad is it?

Overall today had gone ok.

I've taken the driver's side strut out, wishbone out, driveshaft,PTU mount out and finally the PTU itself.

The sleeve is completely worn, the teeth in the PTU itself don't look too bad to me but I'm no expert.

The sleeve is nearly worn flat so I can see why it wasn't working.

Is it just me or does it have a drain hole under the sleeve? I take it every time you go in deep water the sleeve gets submerged in water then drains out? Seems a bit of a design flaw.

Anyway, photos below would appreciate any advice and I'd love it if I could get away with just replacing the sleeve! 🤣

Also are there any other checks which should be done on the PTU whilst it is out? It hasn't shown any noise etc but then if it wasn't really working would it have done?
