You get an error message saying " smart key not found" the engine will continue to run if it is running, once the engine is stopped then it cannot be re started. |

Did they actually replace the battery inside or just change the case? I had this on one of my keys and took it apart and replaced the battery. Not difficult After that it was OK. If after changing the battery the problem persists you could of course have a problem with the inductive charging not working on the car itself. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Yes, no inductive charging on MY13. It's a straight battery swap. Sorry can't help with the problem though. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone

Only earlier models have the soldered in battery. As stated above, MY13 have a straight swap lithium non-rechargeable battery. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone

I noticed that on my MY14 FL2 both keys had battery failures indicated at same time more or less on the FL2's 3 year birthday.

Hi all recently bought afl2. And I've noticed 1 key fob opens all the windows the other just gives a disgruntled beep and headlights flash. Strange 🙄 |

I’m hoping a new key case from RRUK will solve the issue of the key not ejecting correctly and having to pull it out which leaves the ignition live and kills the battery. The ignition key docks aren’t readily available from LR, on back order, probably forever!? |
