BAck to topic. I left one key fob in a drawer for about 6 months and had no troube with it. Mind you, mine only has to open the dorrs and start the car, as I have a GS?

Until we know what's in them it's hard to judge how long it's safe to leave them without use/charge. I'm suspecting a small Lithium Ion cell which should be good for months if charged, but some have suggested a capacitor which wouldn't hold a charge reliably for any significant time.

I'm still interested in anyone who would like to donate a u/s keyfob for dissection. If I can see inside one I would be able to determine how serviceable they are - and if I managed to repair it in the process, it would be for free. |

Andy I will donate as i said before. I have only had the car 2 months and want to get all warrenty items done in one hit. I will send you the key as soon as I get the car looked at by LR. Don't put petrol in a diesel. They don't run well. |
