Not spoken with them so worth a go. What started out as a simpole fix is getting very expensive if I buy 2 new pressed plated even assuming I can get them. |

I do appreciate everybodies time and effort into trying to solve my problem. The old girl, car not wife, is worth it though. |

What do other Traction Avant owners use? Is there a plate made by parts suppliers or owners clubs?

Spoken to other club members most have stuck on white vinyl as is easiest. One chap had letters custom made by a graphics company. One guy even had a signwriter do his. Will post a few pics when she is out of the garage. Currently changing coolant and oils and and a door mechanism. Door mechanism damned sight easier than on the FL2 lol. |

Some early Land Rovers (late 40's into the 50's) had the registration number hand painted onto plate blanks at the dealers at the point of sale I believe - that would seem appropriate and likely historically correct for a vehicle of this vintage also? 2014 Freelander 2 TD4 Manual Dynamic

Sign writer seems the way to go given the curved nature of the plate. MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

Sign written would be nice. I doubt that any LR dealer does that now! |
