is this what you are looking to do ???

Brilliant! Thank you!

I have been thinking of perhaps getting a bar. Just out of curiosity (and my budget constraints) did you consider mounting them straight to your FL or is that arguably not possible from a practical/esthetic POW?

Any other good examples out there?

Hi. What wire did you take as the switch for the relay and did you take it from the headlight connector or somewhere else. Thanks in advance

I have mounted mine directly to the grill using stainless washers to pack out the back and keep them facing forward.

Hi Gum,

I took the feed from the main beam feed behind the NS headlamp. I came back about 6" from the connector on the back of the headlamp and carefully took a small section of the tape off the loom. Had a dig around and found the Yellow/Orange wire that feeds main beam and tapped into that. I've then run that through to a separate switch in the cabin, which is only "live" when main beam is on so I have the option of just headlamp main beam or headlamp main and the driving lights.

PDF of the wiring diagram for headlamps attached, so you can see what colours do what in that loom. I've put the LHD and RHD versions, although from a quick glance they seem to be the same loom/colour for headlamps Current driveway contents:

Worth noting that this only applies until the new headlights with LED DRLS etc in.... 2014 (?) onwards. These final facelift lights have a different loom. Current driveway contents:

Hmm. Mines a 13 with round led DRLs, so I guess my loom is different. Has anyone a facelift wiring diagram

Had anybody found a way to fit a light bar behind the grill on MY2013 facelift Freelander.
I want more light on main beam but want a discreet subtle look. FL2 SD4 XS 2013 Orkney Grey

I measured up my 24" LED light bar too see if it would fit between the deflection shields behind the grill, and there is enough room for it. I also want the better light output of my LED bar over the main beam bulbs.
The only hard part would be working out how to support the LED bar in the centre of the grill space, but I think a stout tube running across between the deflection shields will work to support the LED bar. It could also be made adjustable for up and down aiming. It's on my ToDo list. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

It only takes 30 minutes to remove the front bumper, less if there's no front wasters. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

Yes and I must admit FL2s don't seem to suffer too much from rusting bolts etc.

I have no garage so it's a.job for next summer and looks like a two man job of you are to avoid damaging the paintwork. FL2 SD4 XS 2013 Orkney Grey
