No problem there. Car was parked up with nobody inside. Insurance paid out more than I reckoned. |

Now another question about this vehicle. It was traded into a Kia garage who have subsequently sent it to the auction. Between the previous owner taking it to the Kia garage and now the MOT expired, 6 days ago.

You can drive an untaxed car to have an MOT carried out. Just as long as the MOT is pre-booked.

The other proviso is that the tax covers the MOT date when purchased, you can't have an MOT on the 29th on an untaxed car and then get the tax from the beggining of the next month.

Quite often most auction sites will have a trade delivery facility at quite a modest cost, worth asking. Regards

Yes one can do that but you cannot drive an uninsured vehicle. Yes I can insure it first but if, heaven forbid, it was involved in an accident first thing insurance check is has vehicle valid tax and MOT. |

Past 7 MOTS all passes. Only one advisory amongst them for two tyres getting close to limit. I do not think car will be as cheap as you imagine what with the looney prices at present. |

No one is suggesting you drive it uninsured ffs! As for your concern about having an accident (that can happen at any time, to anyone). As stated, as long as the MOT is pre-booked & you take the most direct route to the testing station, there should not be any issues. (Now Sold). 2008 Freelander 2 (Nazca Sand) SE TD4 Auto. Statutory write off & on WOVR for hail damage but still road legal. 171037Km as of 09/05/22 Superchips Bluefin Flash Nanocom Evo II (also sold) |

Except if I have an accident, what then. All well and good saying ffs but is a possibility, albeit slim. |

Seen vehicle looks good to me. The auction site use a transportation who has quoted £90 from auction to my MOT garage. All I have to do now is win it. |
