Hi all
I have a freelander 2 hse td4 with 132000 miles lovely car
Having a bit of trouble with the radio as in it keeps turning on and off
I start the car and it just turns on and off constantly like every minute it’s the radio with the screen above it with sat nav
I have a new facia with the buttons might try that

Also have a clonking when slowing down on the front drivers side

A diagnostic read is required, or you'll just be guessing. There are many independent modules which make up the infotainment system, so knowing what to replace is going to be key. Also many replacement modules need configuration to the vehicle, or they won't work, so again suitable diagnostic equipment will be needed for that too. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

I would sort the clonk out first before something breaks. I would check all ball joints and the rear lower arm bush for wear. I recommend if it is enough to clomk, your tyres will be wearing on the edge. A worn out Bevel Box will clonk, as will a worn CV joint, so it is best to work your way round the car and then you know what to replace.

I had the same symptoms with my radio/satnav turning on and off. However, in my case it was down to a duff battery. Freelander 2's are known to exhibit some strange electrical gremlins when batteries aren't at their finest.
