Previous owner had one fitted to our car. It’s a metal shroud with a removable locked top that takes a key similar to a tool box latch.

I took a cursory look at this and it does not appear to stop the cloning of the remote signal? Isn't that what most thieves are using now? |

Keyless entry is the real danger, which FL2 doesnt have ie we have to press the fob button.

AFAIK you cannot clone a FL2 without access to the OBD as its not a keyless entry design, unless the thief uses a grabber to capture the signal whilst the fob button is being pressed and use that to program a key. It means the thief have to wait close by whilst the key fob is being used. Jules |
