Odd "Service Required" message

Hi, odd issue just popped up on our 2014 F2. Prior to it's service about 6 weeks ago I'd get a message saying "Service Required" popup every time the car started and then disappear.

After the service this went away as expected. This morning I got in to drive it and the message re-appeared on the dash and also some warning bongs came on although not sure if these are related to this or seatbelt! Every time i now start the car the service required message comes on after about 5 seconds and lasts for a few seconds and then disappears again.

Any idea why this would have re-appeared already? Did a search and couldn't find anything exactly the same as this...

Try resetting it using the method described in this thread, always works for me and I do all my own services.

Tried the method pressing and holding the stalk info button / down menu button which didn't work.

Then tried the bonnet open, door open, pedal press for one minute. That seems to have cleared it. Thanks!

But anyone have any ideas why the message would have come back on after just 1 month? Surely it should have been reset for what 18mths?

You would think? But who knows what method your mechanic used to reset it. I'd be confident it's sorted now. Unless you are doing really low miles I'd recommend an annual or 10k miles service rather than 18 months. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948
