I wonder how many actually check oil, water, air pressure, & if keen, power steering, brake fluid between servicing.

I check mine every week including tyre pressure and condition.

That’s neat, punched a hole one side them decided to go back in and try the other side of the block, that must have been some noise whizzing around on the crank looking for a way out! Regards

Interesting picture, it looks like the small end of the conrod has punched its way out and is still attached to the crankshaft. Odd thing is the gudgeon pin isn't still in place in the conrod. I have seen similar a few times where the piston has split and thrown the rod but the gudgeon pin has still been in place. 2007 TD4 XS The work horse that earns its up keep

Indeed, made me wonder if the pin snapped leaving the piston in the bore and the rod just rattled around a bit knocking a few windows in the block……poor thing, scared of the dark.

Yesterday did a walk to the beach & back past a large vegi shop on a forced exercise walking route, a route I sometimes do to kill 2 birds with one stone.
