I didn't know the Si4 existed until a few months ago, but I'm starting to get obsessed about it.

So its slower to 62mph than the SD4 and with much poorer fuel consumption. Why would you want a Si4 ? Jules |

I think that the Diesel Automatic, as in the SD4, suits the genuine LR Premium Feel of the FL2
I agree - It is a very interesting and informative book. A must for all FL2 enthusiasts, ---- Excellent Christmas Present --- (tell someone who loves you) FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011) FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 77k+ miles) (MY2015) Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History (Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?) |

To be fair, it is only 0.01 sec slower! However, I think the key is that it is a petrol engine. For some of us, myself included, that is what we are used to and what we wish to drive. Some of us just don't want to drive diesel engined cars. And its nice to have the choice, too. Each to their own, of course. Tim |

I've often wondered this too - ironically, nowadays the si4 engine would make a lot more sense for the FL2 as presumably it would be both Euro 6 and ULEZ emissions zone compliant? |

Indeed. Except when there isn't a choice in a few years time. Jules |
