Any one had any experiences with returning tayna battery if faulty whilst under warranty. I used halfords for my caravan leisure battery with halfords 10% off trade discount card. When it failed in 23months of it,s 2 year warranty i just popped it back for no quibble replacement at my local store. Would it be that easy with a non local supplier. ??.

Bad experience with Tanya and returns.

They wouldn't accept 2 year old Varta was faulty (4 year warranty). Had to return at MY expense as over 6 months old (non refundable) and wait for them to test, accept faulty, then they would send replacement.

As couldn't be without car I ordered a new one, and they said would refund if returned was faulty.

In end, they wouldn't refund as I ordered Bosch replacement. After much arguing they eventually agreed to refund return cost and %age of replacement.

Would have been cheaper to buy from Halfords in first instance with local back-up. Andy

Absolutely agree,Halfords own brand stop start is a Yuasa battery with 5 year warranty. Get a trade card (any trade ) and it is £113. So the non stop start would be considerably cheaper. I would never consider these cheap batteries, Lion Brand for instance, had one on my Trannie, absolute rubbish.with Halfords you can go back straight away, and if you pay on credit card and you have any hassle you can get the money refunded from the card provider as long as the total spent is over £100 .

Battery Megastore claim to be more warranty friendly.

You need to have it tested at a garage and obtain a print out of condition. On seeing this Megastore will send you a courier label and pay for the return.

But agree Halfords is safer and easier, probably worth the extra £20 or so.
